Graduate student laptop recommendations and support in the Kelley School of Business
Kelley School of Business Information Technology (KSBIT) recommends that all graduate students select the laptop that best fits their needs. For recommendations, see Faculty & Staff Notebook Computer Support. For a complete list of UITS hardware recommendations, see ComputerGuide: Deals by vendor, recommendations, and common questions, which also includes information about contracts with various vendors such as Dell, Sony, Apple, and others to provide laptop and desktop computers to students at discounted pricing.
At graduate student orientation, KSBIT holds hands-on sessions to help you connect to the IU network if the GetConnected process fails. These sessions are not mandatory, but will be greatly beneficial if you are new to the IU network environment, as KSBIT will only support networking related issues after the graduate student orientation.
Additionally, you can view the KSBIT User Tutorials, which walk you through the steps discussed at the hands-on sessions. Select the video appropriate for your operating system.
Note: You need Adobe Flash Player to view the tutorials, available for free at Adobe Flash player.
