ARCHIVED: In Windows, how do I find the MAC address of my network adapter?
Windows 7 and Vista
In Windows 7 and Vista, to view the MAC address of your network adapter(s):
- From the
Startmenu search field, typecmdand pressEnter.
- At the command prompt that appears, enter:
ipconfig /all
The MAC address is the six pairs of hexadecimal numbers in the field labeled "Physical Address".
Windows XP
Note: If this doesn't match what you see, refer to About navigation settings in Windows.
In Windows XP, to view the MAC address of your network adapter(s):
- From the
Startmenu, selectRun....
- In the "Open:" field, enter
cmd.
- At the command prompt that appears, enter:
ipconfig /all
The MAC address is the six pairs of hexadecimal numbers in the field labeled "Physical Address".
