Making a call

All telephone models

To make a regular call:

  1. Lift the handset.

  2. When you hear a dial tone, enter the number you are calling using the dial pad.

Caller ID telephones

To make a predialed call:

  1. Enter the number you are calling using the dial pad.

  2. Lift the handset, press Handsfree/Mute, or select line 1 or 2.

To make a a hands-free call:

  1. Press Handsfree/Mute, or select line 1 or 2.

  2. Dial the number you wish to call using the dial pad.

  3. When the call is finished, press RLS to end the call.

Panasonic Model KX-T2355 Easa

To make a call using the speakerphone:

  1. Press and hold the Speakerphone button until the red indicator lights and you hear a dial tone.

  2. Dial (either manually or using the Memory Station Buttons) the number you wish to call.

  3. When the call is finished, press the Speakerphone button.

ATT 925 Speakerphone

To make a call using the speakerphone:

  1. Press and hold Speaker for approximately 1 second, until you hear a dial tone.

  2. Dial (either manually or using the memory feature) the number you wish to call.

  3. When the call is finished, press Speaker.

Vodavi Starplus

To make a hands-free call:

  1. Press the Speaker button.

  2. Enter the number you are calling using the dial pad.

  3. When the call is over, hang up the handset.

Meridian Business Set M5312 and M5112

When you lift the handset, your main telephone number, i.e., the primary directory number (PDN), is automatically selected. A solid diamond will appear to the left of the button. If you would like to select a different line, press the button for the appropriate number.

For hands-free dialing:

  1. Do not lift the handset.

  2. Press any number button on your set to select the outgoing line.

  3. Listen for a dial tone through the speaker, and then dial the number you wish to call.

  4. When your call is answered, lift the handset to talk privately, or press Handsfree to use the speakerphone.

  5. When your call is finished, hang up the handset or press RLS.

Meridian Business Set M5316

With the Meridian M5316 you can make a regular call or predial a telephone number. Predialing allows you to check the number before it is dialed out.

To make a predialed call:

  1. Enter the number you are calling using the dial pad.

  2. Lift the handset or press Dial.
