IU's software agreement with Corel
In 2009, Indiana University negotiated a two-year site license contract for certain Corel WordPerfect software. Corel WordPerfect Office X4 Standard Edition is currently available to all IU students, faculty, and staff as a free download from IUware, and on CD from various IU campus bookstores for $10. Contents include WordPerfect X4, Quattro Pro X4 (spreadsheets), Presentations X4, Corel Visual Intelligence SE, WordPerfect Lightning, and WordPerfect Mail.
The IU-Corel License Agreement is perpetual, and thus you may continue to use the software after you leave the university; however, at that point, you will no longer be able to obtain new versions of the software through a bookstore or through IUware.
WordPerfect is available in the Student Technology Centers and Residential Technology Centers. It is not, however, available in all departmental labs; for help locating specific software, see Student Technology Centers
