Call Timer
The Call Timer on your office telephone allows you to display the length of time that you have been on a call. Functionality varies, depending upon your telephone model.

To add a Call Timer key on a single-line telephone
- Press Set Options, and then press the arrow up/down key to
scroll to number 4, or press 0 and 4 to go directly to the item.
- Press the * key to add a Timer key, and then press the memory key
to which you would like to assign the Call Timer feature.
- Press Save. Label the Timer key.
To add a Call Timer key on a two-line telephone
- Press Set Options, and then press # to enter the setup list.
- Press the arrow up/down key to scroll to the number 6, or press 6.
- Press 6 to add a Timer key.
- Press the memory key to which you would like to assign the
Call Timer feature.
- Press Save, then RLS. Label the Timer key.
To use the Call Timer key
- Make or answer a call. The time will automatically start running.
- Once on the call, press the Timer key. The display shows the
running time of the call on the single-line telephone or on both
lines of the two-line telephone. You can press the Timer key
again to see the date and time.
- When the call is complete, press RLS. The timer stops running.
Note: To show the elapsed time of the most recent call, press the Timer key.
To delete a Call Timer key
Press the Timer key, and then the delete key twice.
Meridian M5316
On the Meridian M5316 telephone, the Call Timer uses the display to show the time elapsed since the start of a normal call; the time appears on the display five seconds after the call starts and remains on the display five seconds after you end the call. To enable the Call Timer:
- Press Program.
- Press <<<| |>>> until "Call Timer ?" is shown on
the display.
- Press Hold, and then press <<<| |>>> to enable or
disable the Call Timer.
- Press Hold to save the new setting.
- Press Program or RLS to exit programming mode.
