Using the directory
Depending on the manufacturer and model, your office telephone may have a directory that allows you to dial names and numbers you've stored in it.
Cortelco Patriot, Comdial Impression, Panasonic Model KX-T2355 Easa, ATT 925 Speakerphone, Vodavi Starplus
These telephones do not have an internal directory. Instead, you can program speed dial buttons and list them on the directory reference card. For more about programming your speed dial buttons, see Speed dial
Caller ID phones (Meridian 9316 and 9417)
With Caller ID phones, you can store up to 50 entries and dial their numbers directly from the directory. The names are ordered by the first character; if you want your directory sorted by last name, enter the last name first. Entries without a name will be sorted by telephone number and placed at the beginning of the directory.
