Speakerphone

To use the speakerphone from your office telephone:

To make a hands-free call

  1. Press your telephone's Handsfree or Speakerphone button.

  2. Enter the number you are calling using the dial pad or a memory button.

  3. On the Meridian Business Set M5312 and M5316, when your party answers, press Handsfree, and then begin speaking into the microphone. On all other telephone models, when your party answers, speak into the microphone.

To answer a call in hands-free mode

  1. When your line is ringing, press your telephone's Handsfree or Speakerphone button.

  2. Speak into the microphone.

To switch to a hands-free call from the handset

  1. Once you are connected through a regular call using the handset, press your telephone's Handsfree or Speakerphone button.

  2. Hang up the handset and speak into the microphone.

On all telephone models, to switch from hands-free to handset, lift the handset.
