Automatic hands-free calls
With Live dial pad on, the telephone automatically dials out and begins a hands-free call as soon as you press a dial pad key or memory key. When Live dial pad is off, the telephone is in regular or Predial mode. As a result, when Live dial pad is off, if you are using a single-line phone, you must lift the handset or press either Handsfree/Mute or Dial after you dial the telephone number. If you are using a two-line phone, press Handsfree/Mute or Dial, or select line 1 or 2 before dialing the telephone number.
When you select the Live dial pad mode, you are turning the Live dial pad option on or off.
To select the Live dial pad mode on a single-line telephone
- Press the Set Option key.
- Press the arrow up/down key to scroll to number 5, or press 0 and
5 to go directly to the item.
- Press * to change the mode, and then press RLS.
To select the Live dial pad mode on a two-line telephone
- Press the Set Option key, and then press * to enter the option list.
- Press the arrow up/down key to scroll to the number 2 or press 2.
- Press the number 2 to change the dial pad mode, and then press RLS.
