Copying the directory to another telephone
To copy the directory contents of one Meridian 9417CW to another Meridian 9417CW two-line telephone set:
- Press the Set Options key.
- Press * to enter the options list.
- Press 7, or use the arrow keys to scroll to number 7.
- To begin the directory transfer, press 7 again.
- On the telephone set you are copying the directory from, press
line 1 and dial the telephone number of line 2 of the other telephone
set. The display will show a message indicating that it is receiving
the directory information. The handset must be in the cradle during
transfer of data. During the transfer, press the left side of the
Volume key to turn down the volume.
- When the transfer is finished, the display will show "data
transfer complete". If the transfer is unsuccessful, the display will
show "data transfer aborted".
- Press RLS at any time to end the transfer.
Note: If the telephone you are transferring the directory numbers to fills before the transfer is complete, then the remainder of the list will not be sent. This will occur if the receiving set already has numbers built into its directory. These numbers will remain there and will not be affected by the transfer. If you subscribe to the Call Waiting feature and a call comes in during a transfer, the transfer may be corrupted by the Call Waiting tone.
