Tips for using Caller ID telephones

  • Wait at least two complete rings to allow the telephone to identify a caller and display the name and/or number. You must have Caller ID installed on your line for this feature to work.

  • Note that the Meridian 9316CW and 9417CW telephones can make and receive calls even during a power failure. However, the display and memory keys will not work without power.

  • To return local calls from the caller's list, remove the area code, if present.

  • To use the Call Waiting identification feature, you must request that Call Waiting be added to your line.

  • There is a 24-digit limit on numbers and a 16-character limit on names stored in the directory.
