ARCHIVED: Communications Office
The UITS Communications Office is responsible for bringing IU's world-class information technology environment to the attention of local, national, and international audiences in industry and business, government, education, and research. Focusing on user information, public relations, planning, and events, the Communications Office:
- Informs IU students, faculty, and staff of news about IT services,
resources, and tools
- Develops and implements integrated communications plans and
campaigns for new IT initiatives and services, aimed at increasing
public awareness of IT services and technologies and their benefits
- Publishes information about IT at IU in various media and formats,
including print, the web, CD, video, and audio
- Plans and executes IT-related conferences, events, and information
displays
- Serves as liaison with the media for UITS and the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer
