Financial Systems
Financial Systems is responsible for the analysis, development,
testing, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide information
systems supporting financial and accounting services at all Indiana
University campuses. The unit's systems provide essential services for
financial decision-making at IU and accounting best practices. These
services support the university's goals for fiscal responsibility and
excellence in financial stewardship while ensuring compliance with
federal and state policy and regulations. Services supported by the
Financial Systems team include the Financial Information System (FIS)
and the Kuali Financial System (KFS) serving the financial
administrative functions in the areas of Accounts Receivable,
Auxiliary Accounting, Budget Construction, Capital Asset Management,
Cash Control, Chart of Accounts, Contract & Grant Administration,
Financial Transactions, General Ledger, Labor Distribution, and Tax
Reporting.
