Text of the welcome message from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) Redirector is a billed service offered by UITS to Indiana University faculty, staff, and participants in the Kelley pilot program. With a BES data plan you purchase from your cellular provider, the IU BES Redirector service enables full access to your IU Exchange email account (including mail, calendar, tasks, etc.) from your BlackBerry device. When you create a new account on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), you will receive the following message:
Welcome to the UITS BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1. Your account has been created.
Depending on the version of device software you are running on your BlackBerry, you may be able to use Wireless Enterprise Activation to more quickly get up and running.
To find the version of device software you are running, on your BlackBerry, go to "Options" and then choose "About" from the options menu.

If your BlackBerry Handheld software is version 3.8 or earlier, you will need to connect your BlackBerry via the USB cable or cradle to your computer. Follow these steps:
