Campus Network Infrastructure

The Campus Network Infrastructure group is responsible for the delivery of voice and data services on the IUB and IUPUI campuses. This includes installation, operation, deployment planning, and maintenance of campus wire plants and data jacks, the Ethernet infrastructure in and between buildings, and the delivery of TCP/IP services to departments and IU Data Centers and between the two main campuses. Staff also manage network security for the campuses through the administration and operation of Data Center firewalls, router access lists, VPN servers, and other network access controls. Other services include dial-up access, campus wireless (Wi-Fi), and wireless links to some remote locations. The unit mission is to deliver these services at a level of excellence, innovation, and reliability commensurate with IU's role as a leader in information technology.
