Oracle instructional environment
UITS maintains an Oracle server named oed1prd on a Linux
machine for instruction involving Oracle. We provide accounts on our
Oracle server for classes (as possible), and we provide the Oracle
client software in the IUB and IUPUI Student Technology Centers
(STCs), configured to connect to our server. UITS also provides Oracle
client software on the Unix Quarry nodes. For campuses other than IUB
or IUPUI, UITS maintains Oracle client software in IUware, which can
be downloaded and installed by campus lab administrators. Following

Oracle Products
for Instruction through Oracle Academy
Academic departments at any IU campus can license the entire suite of Oracle products for instructional use for an annual $500 fee through the Oracle Academy. (Check Oracle's site for current pricing; pricing reflected here might not be accurate. Products acquired through the Oracle Academy agreement can be used only for instruction. UITS does not provide support for Oracle products obtained via the Oracle Academy.)
