Making your set busy
If you have a Meridian business set (M5312 or M5316) or mini console with add-on modules, you can subscribe to the Make Set Busy feature, which allows you to make your primary number ring busy to all incoming calls. There will be no audible ring on your set as long as the feature is activated.
Note: If your number appears on other business sets (e.g., through the Multiple Appearance Directory Number, or MADN, feature), the caller will hear ringing until the call is answered by another user or forwards with the Call Forward Don't Answer feature.
To activate Make Set Busy, press the Make Set Busy button. The diamond next to the Make Set Busy button will be solid, indicating that your set is busy.
To deactivate Make Set Busy, press the Make Set Busy button again. The diamond next to the Make Set Busy button will go off.
