Protect your data
Using the Internet without security protection is risky, but IU helps protect you by offering security programs and information. Take the following steps to safeguard your computer and information.
- Install security software: Protect your computer from viruses, adware, and spyware by downloading and installing security software available from IUware
- Keep all software updated: Look into Secunia Personal Software Inspector for alerts on software application updates
- Back up information: Use cloud storage (available at no cost via Box at IU), USB flash drives, or external hard drives to back up important files and information
