The difference between eth (ð, Ð) and thorn (þ, Þ) and why it is relevant to the HTTYD universe. Basically, eth (ð) is a voiced dental fricative (like in this, that, these, other), and thorn (þ) is an unvoiced dental fricative (like in thin, think, thank). The pronounciation of Gothi in RTTE shows us that she cannot be a goði, because characters clearly pronounce it as goþi.
