Meet the 2024 Enterprise Systems interns
Camilla Clark (she/her)
Camilla is a born-and raised Hoosier from Bloomington, Indiana. She is in her senior year as an undergraduate studying informatics in the Luddy School, where she is also a researcher with the Building a Mind Lab. Her internship with the Native Apps team in Enterprise Experience involves identifying usability issues in One.IU and IU Mobile and designing solutions for them. After completing her undergraduate degree in 2025, Camilla plans to further her education, whether in human-computer interaction or artificial intelligence in business, and use her knowledge to build a career in consulting or product design. When she’s not working, she enjoys video games, yoga, working out, and spending time with her dogs.
Kavya Govindaraju (she/her)
Kavya is a graduate student from Bangalore, India, working toward a master's in data science. She is interning with the Enterprise Systems Metrics team, focusing on operationalizing the task force and building dashboards and also working on an analysis of the student advising system. Before coming to IU, she gained work experience in both data analytics and web development. She was also part of a research project called "Analysis of Big Data in the Finance Sector" that was published in IJARESM and explored the transformation brought by these technologies to the sector, highlighting real-world applications and challenges. After graduation in May 2025, Kavya hopes to find a position as a data scientist. In the meantime, she balances school and work life with listening to music and exploring new places.
Devi Kulkarni (she/her)
Devi is from Mumbai, India, and is in her first year of the master’s program in Human-Computer Interaction design (HCI/d) after a brief career in architecture. She is excited to be doing her first technology-related internship as part of the WebTech team. As the technical documentation intern, she creates guides and other reference materials for IU’s web content management systems and supporting tools, ensuring staff and faculty have a smoother experience while using the tools. After graduation, she hopes to work as a user experience designer. She enjoys sketching, reading, writing, and making pasta. Devi showcases some of her work on her website, and she invites everyone to check it out!
Dharam Lokhandwala (he/him)
Dharam is a graduate student from Surat, Gujarat, India—where, he says, 90% of the world’s diamonds are cut. He is working on his M.S. in human-computer interaction and expects to graduate in May 2025. He is interning as a UX designer with the Experience Design and Development team, focusing on a project to redesign the websites for IU Southeast’s School of Education and Admissions office. This is his third career internship, and his second with the eXdd team: He interned at a startup in India that makes AR and VR products, and his previous responsibilities as an eXdd content intern included entering and editing content for websites around the university. Outside of work and school, Dharam is president of the IU Human Computer Interaction & Design Club and enjoys watching anime, cooking, hiking, and playing musical instruments. After graduation, he hopes to work as a UX designer at a company, but he enjoys the idea of starting up his own design firm.

Maggie Avadhanam (she/her)
Maggie interned as a graduate student from Hyderabad, India, while pursuing an M.S. in data science. She has experience in data science and cloud DevOps engineering from previous positions, and after she finished her degree in May 2024, she hoped to work as a cloud DevOps engineer who makes decisions that have impact on the world. As an undergrad, she was on a team that presented a research paper at the ICDCI 2021 conference that has been accepted by a journal for publication. Maggie has a passion for traveling and exploring diverse cultures and cuisines, and she loves reading horror and mystery novels.
Aidan Cooper (he/they)
Aidan is from Osceola, Indiana. They studied computer science with a specialization in foundations and graduated in fall 2023. This was Aidan’s first internship experience, and they enjoyed the opportunity to experience real-world applications for the tools they learned about in their studies. After graduation, they hoped to continue working in Bloomington in an IT/software dev position. Outside of school, they like to develop board games and video games, watch bad movies with friends, and learn about philosophy and politics.
Royce Dcunha (she/her)
Royce was a graduate student from Mumbai, India, who graduated in May 2024 with an M.S. in computer science. She interned with the Metrics task force in 2023-24, focusing on developing system metrics to establish division-wide standards to inform strategic resource decisions. She planned to find a position as a data scientist when she graduates, as she was excited to use her skills to interpret complex information and bring practical solutions. As an undergraduate, Royce spearheaded a project on glaucoma detection and classification using machine learning that was presented at the ADCIS 2023 conference and accepted for publication in the Springer journal. She finds joy in the art of baking, strumming her guitar, and embarking on adventures to discover new places.
Nikith DSouza (he/him)
As a graduate student from Bangalore, India, Nikith earned a Master of Science in human-computer interaction (HCI) and design in May 2024. In the height of the pandemic, he worked on a project related to online learning and published a paper in the ACM Digital Library in New York at the India HCI conference. In 2023-24, he interned with the Enterprise Experience Design and Development team and hoped to become a UX designer. He enjoys trying new foods and learning how to cook.
Emma Fecteau (she/her)
Emma is from Madison, Wisconsin. After graduating at the end of summer 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in media, her goal was to become a user experience (UX) writer. To that end, she interned with the Student Academic Systems team and learned about writing and editing content from a UX perspective. She enjoys reading, working out, and writing novels.
Maheswar Gorantla (he/him)
Maheswar, a graduate student from Vijayawada, India, pursuing a master’s in computer science, spent the summer of 2024 as a CMS developer intern on the Web Technical Services team, working to create a new IU Blogs WordPress theme. His experience includes working on the DecadeDetect project, which developed an advanced object-detection framework for historical media, enhancing the accessibility and research utility of the IU Libraries Moving Image Archive. After graduation in 2025, he would like to work as a software development engineer. Outside of work and school, he enjoys playing table tennis, trying different cuisines, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
Snigdha Narayan (she/her)
Snigdha is from Hyderabad, India, and was pursuing an M.S. in human-computer interaction during her internship in 2023-24. This was her first internship experience. After graduation in spring 2024, she wanted to work as a product designer, building cool customer-facing experiences that make a difference or a positive impact. Outside of work and school, Snigdha enjoys doodling, collects toys, and watches “a lot of” anime.
Vaibhavi Patel (she/her)
From Mumbai, India, Vaibhavi worked toward a May 2024 Master of Science in computer science during her internship. As an undergrad, she worked on a research project to design an intelligent system for autism; it was published in IEEE for the 2018 ICCICT. Her ultimate career goal is to be a solution architect. She interned with the Enterprise Platform team, developing APIs. She likes to watch TV series such as “Modern Family” and “Suits” when she’s not traveling and exploring new places.
Sneha Sivasubramanian (she/her)
A graduate student from Chennai, India, Sneha is pursuing an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction at IU Indianapolis. In the summer of 2024, she interned with the Native Apps and Experience team as a UX designer. After graduation in 2025, she wants to leverage her skills in UX research to create impactful solutions that enhance accessibility, promote inclusivity, and improve public safety. Toward that end, she is currently a UX design lead for the global nonprofit Accessifiers, which provides accessible and assistive technology to underserved groups, and is the lead UX researcher working with the Greenwood, Indiana, fire department on creating wearable tech to improve firefighters’ safety and efficiency. She is passionate about doing UX research for VR, AR, and AI technologies and hopes to find a career along that path. Outside of work-related pursuits, Sneha enjoys astrophotography, cooking, and exploring new vegan recipes.
