Advanced Cyberinfrastructure includes high performance computing, big data, cloud computing, networking, advanced visualization, and the people who support them. It enables scientific discovery, research data management, geospatial data analysis, and innovation across disciplines.
This program aims to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to leverage ACI in their research projects. The program will run through the 2024 fall semester.
The program consists of two main components:
- Project Consulting: The program will provide project consulting for the student fellows to help them overcome technical or logistical challenges they may encounter in their research projects. The program will have a team of ACI specialists who can assist the student fellows with various aspects of their projects, such as data management, software development, hardware configuration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Networking: The program will facilitate networking opportunities for the student fellows with ACI experts, practitioners, and peers. The program will organize seminars and social events where the student fellows can learn from and interact with ACI leaders and community members.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a stipend and will appear in a published article on one of IU’s websites.
