Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat at IU

Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat with enterprise data protection is available at no cost for all users at IU over the age of 18. It is built into the Microsoft Edge browser and is available on the web. It is the recommended way to use generative AI within the IU environment and has been approved to interact with data classified up to and including University-Internal data.

Microsoft 365 Copilot app

The Microsoft 365 Copilot app is a set of AI-driven productivity tools deeply integrated with Microsoft 365 applications and services such as Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the rest of the Microsoft 365 suite. It interacts directly with documents in OneDrive and Teams storage spaces to which you have access. This is a paid service; the cost is $30/user/month, billed annually.

Adobe Firefly

As part of IU's software license with Adobe, you have access to the Firefly web app and generative AI features inside apps like Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Adobe Stock.

Chat AIU

Chat AIU is an AI-powered tool that utilizes generative AI and IU data to provide customizable chatbot experiences designed for university needs. Built on Microsoft Azure OpenAI, it prioritizes data privacy while providing reliable, context-aware responses through a user-friendly interface.

REALLMs Service

UITS Research Technologies will soon be piloting the Research API for LLMs (REALLMs) service, providing an API and web interface to the latest open Llama model and other open-source large language models (LLMs). These models will leverage on-premises systems operated by UITS at no cost to researchers. It will be initially offered as a pilot service for research use cases.
