Fellows will attend a virtual workshop to learn more about advanced cyberinfrastructure focus areas and will participate in one-on-one and group consultations with UITS Research Technologies staff throughout the program. All educational materials developed through the program will be openly licensed and made available for reuse by other educators.
Stipend
Faculty Fellows will be provided a stipend of $1000, paid into a university account for conference travel and teaching/research support when the program is completed in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Eligibility
- Open to all Indiana University full-time faculty, regardless of rank, discipline, or campus.
- Faculty members from all disciplines and at all levels of experience with advanced cyberinfrastructure are welcome to apply.
- Applicants must identify a course that they will teach in the 2025/2026 academic year that will incorporate advanced cyberinfrastructure systems/tools.
Selection
The selection is a 2-phase process. After preliminary applications are reviewed, a select number of faculty members will be invited to meet with the review committee for additional evaluation.
- A maximum of 5 proposals will be awarded.
- Applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the UITS Research Technologies leadership team.
Deliverables and timeline
- Best apply by date: November 15, 2024.
- Application form closes: January 6, 2025.
- Invitations for interviews will be sent by January 13, 2025.
- Awarded proposals will be announced by January 27, 2025.
- Workshops and consultations will be scheduled for spring 2025, with course implementation during the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Final deliverables will be due in fall 2025 or spring 2026 based on the course schedule.
