CACR is an Indiana University research center affiliated with the IU Pervasive Technology Institute and a member of the IU cybersecurity community. CACR is distinctive in interweaving technical and policy expertise. The Center draws on IU’s wide range of scholarly expertise in computer science, informatics, accounting and information systems, criminal justice, law, organizational behavior, public policy, and other disciplines, as well as the extensive practical cybersecurity experience of its operational units.

Professor Scott J. Shackelford is executive director of the Center of Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR) and is also a faculty member at Indiana University. He also serves as executive director of the Ostrom Workshop and is a former cybersecurity program chair.
